Step one- Find the card you want, do the research online for the feature, like for my wife it was 2016 Honda Civic.
Second Step- Try sending emails to 3 or 4 nearby dealers. If possible close to month ending dates like 27th to 30th. Every dealer and salespeople have quotas or targets they need to fulfill.
Third Step- Visit the dealer or dealers with the lowest price. Relax and stay calm; they will try to sell you a different model. Do not fall for a different model; they will try all kinds of tricks like bringing in a star Sales person with lots of sales in his or her portfolio. Pretend to walk or walk away if you feel they are trying to get more money from you. Do not sound desperate; the car is not going anywhere. Negotiate don't give anything extra. If they feel they might lose the sale, they will close the deal.
Fourth Step- They will try to sell you maintenance package, oil change or tire package. Don't say yes to none of this. Long term contract and you paying now. Keep you finance open; else you can switch to that financial institution like your bank.
